I’ve been coming here for years and I was generally happy with the service. Came in recently to sell some clubs Purchased there and was offered an absurdly low amount. Like less than a quarter of what I’ve paid for them. Not to mention The Guy acted like he didn’t have time for me. I will not be returning. Very disappointed this was one of my favorite stores.

I live in Gainesville, Tx about a 40 minute drive from Denton. I have a son that is currently incarcerated in a unit here in Texas. My son during one of our conversations he stated that the softball bat they were using for recreational purposes had been broken. Our family grew up playing sports and softball and baseball were our sports. I decided to call and see if someone would donate a few bats. I called the usual big sporting places like Academy, Dicks and was told that they didn’t do things like that. I called Second Hand Sports and was grateful, surprised and blessed that Vincent said “Yes”. He was generous, polite and understanding of my request. I took the drive over and to my surprise he not only donated 2 bats but but, also threw in a few softballs. God bless you Vincent and your staff for not only bringing a smile to my face but on behalf of 300 inmates who also thank you immensely. Sincerely, Gina

We’ve had a really frustrating experience trying to sell sports equipment to this business. Multiple times we were told someone would call us back, and no one ever did. We were even told to come in on Sunday around noon to sell our items, but when we showed up, the person we talked with wasn’t there and the employee said she had no way to pay us. Then we were told they don’t know when he’ll be back and were asked to just leave our items and wait for payment later, which is not a professional or reliable way to run a business. Communication has been inconsistent, and the whole process felt disorganized and unprofessional. On top of that, the prices in the store seem very high for equipment that looks extremely used and not very clean. I wouldn’t recommend making the trip to sell items unless you’re prepared for a lot of back-and-forth with no clear outcome. I understand you’re not a pawn shop, but you do buy secondhand sports equipment, which is why we contacted you. The issue wasn’t pricing, it was the lack of communication and follow through. We were told to come in at a specific time, but when we arrived there was no way to complete the sale and no one available to pay us. Over

amazing experience here! Owner and owners daughter are absolutely the best. My boyfriend and I picked out two bikes, had them adjusted to us and tuned up. Over the past two days we have biked 15 miles! Love this shop and will absolutely be visiting again!

Phenomenal selection, great prices, and friendly staff!!! I came in after seeing their disc selection for disc golf, and was so pleased with the amount of cool stuff they had there! They had a bit of everything: Golf equipment, bikes, exercise machines, football gear, and more! I found 3 golf clubs, at least 5 disc golf discs, and 7 golf balls and spend less than $50 on everything. It’s so nice to have this store available while I’m reconnecting with old hobbies, and can do so affordably! They had so many incredible brands, and everything was in nice shape, with some items being brand new and still having a very fair price. Definitely recommend, and am so excited to bring friends and family here and come back as these hobbies grow!!!
